Daisy’s Garden Supplies have recently acquired a new Powerscreen Chieftain 2100X with double deck vibrating grid and dual power capability and retired their 15 year old Powerscreen Chieftain 1800.
The Chieftain 2100X is the largest model to feature a high capacity hopper, belt feeder and radio controlled tipping grid. Key features include a patented hydraulically folding recirculating conveyor on the 3 deck version eliminating the need for a crane on site and a 2 bearing screen with adjustable screen amplitude and hydraulic screen angle adjustment.
The Dual Power capacity is a popular added option which offers users a choice between diesel and electric power. The additional electric/hydraulic drive system connects to an external electric power source to provide power for the screen. This option helps to avoid recent fuel price increases and addresses environmental requirements. Dual Power offers complete flexibility for the machine to work alone in remote locations in diesel mode or as part of a multi machine line up in electric mode. Furthermore, the operator can choose diesel or electric as the power source through a fully integrated control panel – it is as simple as turning a switch.
The new Powerscreen Chieftain 2100X-2D is already in full production at Daisy’s Garden Supplies facility in Hallam (VIC), processing blended Sand & Soils to supply their three Garden stores. Evan Mulcahy, Daisy’s Garden Supplies Managing Director, is impressed with the overall performance and production of the machine and with the service and support from the Lincom Group. “The long standing relationship with Lincom Group has been fantastic, I know I’m getting a top quality product with the Powerscreen Brand” said Evan.
Daisy’s Garden Supplies has grown from humble beginnings 35 years ago, to a business that now comprises three retail stores, a soil processing facility and a pebble quarry. With 3 branches in Melbourne they supply residential, landscaping and commercial customers with quality products.
