A very successful Open Day was held last week at Divall’s Carrick Quarry in Goulburn (NSW). Our Guest List included local customers and some as far away as Western Australia and North Queensland. Two of the machines on display were sold on the first day (The Powerscreen Premiertrak 400 Jaw crusher and Powerscreen Chieftain 2100X 2 deck screen) an incredible outcome for the event.
Over the course of the two days, we hosted a live working demonstration of the Powerscreen Premiertrak R300 jaw crusher, Powerscreen Trakpactor 320SR impact crusher and Powerscreen Chieftain 2100X screen. Producing minus 8mm dust, 8-16mm aggregates and a 16-26.5mm aggregate, these final sizes were achieved by having a 40mm top deck and a 26.5mm bottom deck fitted to the Powerscreen Trackpactor 320SR with all of the plus 26.5mm product being recirculated back to the impactor and the minus 26.5mm creating our top size for our aggregates to be screened. The source rock for this demonstration was a hard Hornfels material.
We also took the opportunity to run some concrete through the crushers as part of the demonstration. The Powerscreen Chieftain 2100X 2 deck was tracked out of the pit (showcasing the portability of the machine) and the prepared concrete was fed into the Powerscreen Premiertrak 300 which went into the Powerscreen Trackpactor 320SR with the same screen media as the first demonstration. An incredible result of a minus 26.5mm roadbase material with huge fine content and no steel was produced.
A Warrior 600 screen and Premiertrak R400 jaw crusher were also on display. In the recycling demonstration area, the Morbark 4600 XL Woodhog and the Neuenhauser 3F star screen were present. The Morbark 4600 XL proved its ability to process Australian hardwoods and green waste with impressive ease, it demonstrated how a waste product from land clearing, storm clean up and general public garden green waste can be turned into a valuable product that can be used for mulch, compost and biomass fuel. The Neuenhauser 3F star screen screened composted mulch with impressive high production rates making a 10mm minus, 40mm minus and clean oversize, showing its ability to screen wet difficult material and make value-added products.
Our chairman, Roy Watterson, was present welcoming all guests to the Open Day “We are thrilled to be able to showcase some of our best machinery for both Quarrying and Recycling applications to current and potential customers. The event was realised in partnership with Divall’s Quarry which played an integral part in delivering a successful event”. Mark Ferguson, Territory Sales Manager for Powerscreen said, “Powerscreen was proud to participate in this event in partnership with Lincom Group who has been a longstanding dealer for 17 years and one we have a great relationship with. The open day was well run and was used as the official Australian launch for the Powerscreen Pulse telemetry system. Customers attending the event were able to see for themselves how our telemetry system works, and how effective it can be in remotely monitoring and controlling machine performance.”
We are a proud supporter of the community and The Men’s shed was invited to the event to assist with the catering. The association member’s enthusiasm and assistance were certainly appreciated. Attendees had the opportunity to inspect the machines up close after the demonstrations and understand the features and benefits shown to them by experienced staff. The Spare Parts and Sales team were also available and VIP “Demo Day” deals and special Terex Financial Services (TFS) finance rates were offered to customers who attended with generous savings.
The Powerscreen Pulse Telematics System was the highlight of the event, a new technology by Powerscreen that allows customers to view accurate and up to date information on production tonnages, fuel usage, fuel costs per ton and much more. Following the huge success of this event, Lincom Group will be hosting another Exclusive Open Day next year.
